If you guys want, I can refer you to a couple of deprogrammers who might be able to help you. It is not a pleasant process, but it has shown good results.

I take it we can assume the "deprogrammers" work for oil industry funded conservative think tanks?

what does that have to do with house republicans denying climate change, contrary to your statement that you didn't know anyone who did?

i just did,  factually.  i did a few weeks ago as well.  you even admitted your mistake;  of course you said it was the first one you've EVER made but it does put the lie to your above statement.

Anther 9 inches of snow predicted today.
60+ mph winds this morning... trees down all over the place, power out in the village of Penasco and on Picuris Reservation.
High winds expected to continue throughout the day.
Schools, businesses, government offices closed all over the place.
Power out in the village of Penasco and on the Picuris Reservation...

Those Hadley guys sure called it on this Global Warming thing.   ::)

It depends.

If you are a Global Warming cultist, you either just ignore it or attempt to demonize those who promote it.

If you are NOT a Global Warming cultist, you examine it carefully, compare it to conditions of the past, etcetera.

How is pointing out that "Global Warming" is based on junk science and has been discredited by the world's top climatologists "arrogant"?

Gun control / Re: Officer suspended after gun discharged in school

ahem.. I'd like to see comments from those who have been arguing that more guns in schools is going to make schools safer.

As I argued over and over more guns = more risk of tragedy.

A simple "you are right pepsi I realize it now" will suffice  :)

I have to LOL at you Boffo for pointing to 2009 statistics as "results" of a law which was passed in 2012.

New title: how boffo fails (the latest chapter)

The law was implemented what 6 months ago?    So beyond pointing to the need for more restrictive gun laws, your stats from 2009 are meaningless.

A law does not take all the illegal guns off the street immediately - hence, it will take time to see the results.

i love what you guys do.  you claim that reputable sources have made reports and when someone calls you on it you don't back your claims up.  Everyone knows why that is: you have nothing.

Gun control / Re: More gun laws = fewer deaths, 50-state study says

Doug is right, Dagon.

Since John and his little butt buddy are too stupid to understand the implications of this particular study and WHY it is of no merit, I will explain it to them.

Limiting access to ANYTHING is going to cause a reduction in deaths related to that particular product or object.

Make more laws governing cars, limiting speed, fuel capacity, passenger capacity, overloading them with unreasonable safety devices, as well as who can own and operate them, and you will have fewer car deaths.

Indeed, those laws have been getting tighter and look what happens

And that's what its all about - reducing deaths.   Your problem is you just don't view the right to life as being more important than an unlimited right to own guns.

No, John... They will not sell guns or gun related equipment to AGENTS of the States who pass such laws. That includes law enforcement officers, including those doing an individual or agency purchase. They will sell the citizenry whatever the law permits them to sell, but they won't sell anything to anyone who works for the State.

Some of the companies listed are industry leaders and their equipment is the standard in law enforcement circles.

So they are happy to sell guns to terrorists or psychopaths if the law allows it, but not law enforcement.

Oversight!  That's why we needed her in there.   this is preferable to taking big donations and not answering tough questions.

They don't like Hagel it seems because he publicly stated Bush sucked (in a more eloquent way) and the Iraq war was a mistake.   Hagel was right and that's their butt hurt.
