The Ukrainian president did not even know the
aid money was withheld and has repeatedly
said he was never pressured.
That, my friend, is a first hand account of
a conversation.

a) the Ukraniane president is not in a position to say otherwise.  b) he's not going to testify under oath as to the facts c) we've already seen the evidence in the phone call partial transcript and from testimony.   Sad that you don't believe your fellow Americans but you're happy to believe a foreign leader.

The Mueller report said Mr. Trump was not guilty of Russian collusion.

I. Summary of Major Findings

The redacted Mueller Report documents a series of activities that show strong evidence of collusion. Or, more precisely, it provides significant evidence that Trump Campaign associates coordinated with, cooperated with, encouraged, or gave support to the Russia/WikiLeaks election interference activities. The Report documents the following actions (each of which is analyzed in detail in Part II):

1. Trump was receptive to a Campaign national security adviser’s (George Papadopoulos) pursuit of a back channel to Putin.

2. Kremlin operatives provided the Campaign a preview of the Russian plan to distribute stolen emails.

3. The Trump Campaign chairman and deputy chairman (Paul Manafort and Rick Gates) knowingly shared internal polling data and information on battleground states with a Russian spy; and the Campaign chairman worked with the Russian spy on a pro-Russia “peace” plan for Ukraine.

4. The Trump Campaign chairman periodically shared internal polling data with the Russian spy with the expectation it would be shared with Putin-linked oligarch, Oleg Deripaska.

5. Trump Campaign chairman Manafort expected Trump’s winning the presidency would mean Deripaska would want to use Manafort to advance Deripaska’s interests in the United States and elsewhere.

6. Trump Tower meeting: (1) On receiving an email offering derogatory information on Clinton coming from a Russian government official, Donald Trump Jr. “appears to have accepted that offer;” (2) members of the Campaign discussed the Trump Tower meeting beforehand; (3) Donald Trump Jr. told the Russians during the meeting that Trump could revisit the issue of the Magnitsky Act if elected.

7. A Trump Campaign official told the Special Counsel he “felt obliged to object” to a GOP Platform change on Ukraine because it contradicted Trump’s wishes; however, the investigation did not establish that Gordon was directed by Trump.

8. Russian military hackers may have followed Trump’s July 27, 2016 public statement “Russia if you’re listening …” within hours by targeting Clinton’s personal office for the first time.

9. Trump requested campaign affiliates to get Clinton’s emails, which resulted in an individual apparently acting in coordination with the Campaign claiming to have successfully contacted Russian hackers.

10. The Trump Campaign—and Trump personally—appeared to have advanced knowledge of future WikiLeaks releases.

11. The Trump Campaign coordinated campaign-related public communications based on future WikiLeaks releases.

12. Michael Cohen, on behalf of the Trump Organization, brokered a secret deal for a Trump Tower Moscow project directly involving Putin’s inner circle, at least until June 2016.

13. During the presidential transition, Jared Kushner and Eric Prince engaged in secret back channel communications with Russian agents. (1) Kushner suggested to the Russian Ambassador that they use a secure communication line from within the Russian Embassy to speak with Russian Generals; and (2) Prince and Kushner’s friend Rick Gerson conducted secret back channel meetings with a Putin agent to develop a plan for U.S.-Russian relations.

14. During the presidential transition, in coordination with other members of the Transition Team, Michael Flynn spoke with the Russian Ambassador to prevent a tit for tat Russian response to the Obama administration’s imposition of sanctions for election interference; the Russians agreed not to retaliate saying they wanted a good relationship with the incoming administration.

Questions for the wizard of smarts, pepsi :
Did Ukraine receive money for military assistance ?
Yes.
Did Ukraine publicly announce an investigation into
the Biden's involvement in Burisma?
No.

They only released the aid after the whistle blower complaint, and the Ukrainian president was about to announce the investigation on CNN, again, stopped after the whistle blower complaint.

They got caught in a bribery scheme, extorting a foreign nation to help Trump's 2020 campaign by investigating his opponent.

Then they tried to cover it up by moving the communications to the secret server.

If they want to talk.....
Executive privilege?

You're not keeping up.

5
its not illegal for the president, chief exec, to look into foreign intervention in our elections...are you ready for where it leads?   cause we already know.

so the guy who obstructed justice into the Russian election interference investigation is himself going to be "looking into" foreign election interference?

and by "look into" you mean bribing foreign nations so that they investigate his political rival.

This whole nonsense that Ukraine interfered in the election is Russia/Trump trying to change the narrative that Russia helped Trump get elected in 2016.

Impeachment of Donald J Trump / It's Bribery
« on: Yesterday at 02:08:07 PM »

NO QUID PRO QUO

FALSE.   Military assistance was being withheld, under the direction of Donald J Trump, until Ukraine opened a (public) investigation into the Bidens, as testimony has shown us.

8
You need to make up your mind.  Do you want foreign meddling in our elections uncovered or not.  THAT is what the president was doing.  We already know that Ukraine was helping the Clinton campaign.   NOT TO MENTION, being blackmailed and not necessarily where they'd complain cause they got a billion.... by JoBi if they didn't stop the investigation of his son.         Don't you want foreign influence stopped.

Oh wait.  No you don't.  That would uncover the corruption of democrats and cement The President's re election.

I think you're admitting Trump did what he is accused of doing here, but it's an awkward way to express it.

wrong as usual, peps.
Another hoax being debunked.
Third strike and you are out.

Are you saying he didn't do it?

10
You mean the president of Ukraine?
You mean the president of the United States?

For starters Mick Mulvaney (who admitted the crime on live TV) and John Bolton (who called it a 'drug deal' he wanted nothing to do with).

The whole point is clear: Orange Hitler illegally withheld funds to which the Ukraine, an ally, was entitled in order to get Zelinskiy to gin up a phony scandal against Orange Hitler's personal political opponent. That is bribery. That is extortion. That is the very reason why the founders included impeachment and removal from office in the Constiitution. Orange Hitler sought to benefit Vladimir Putin first, by muddying the facts of Putin's interference in the 2016 election, and himself secondarily.

There is a lot more against Orange Hitler and I don't really understand how his cult has gotten away with this. Do they really want this precedent? What happens after Biden wins in 2020 and decides that the atrocious behavior of Republicans justifies rounding them up and floating them off on an iceberg? In Adam Schiff's words, "If this is not impeachable conduct, what is?" What is the limit? How far down into authoritarianism do they sink?

Putin murders journalists and political rivals. Is that where "conservatives" want to go? They're well down that road already.

So we really have a test here: do Republicans value power over the rule of law?  One of my history professors, Nunzio Pernicone, said that fascism boils down to a pure power grab. This is a pure power grab and "conservatives" are going to fail this test. They have betrayed our nation, our values, and our ideals and they don't deserve to live in a democracy. They aren't the majority, yet they have no boundaries as to how they will conduct themselves in order to impose their stupidity on us.

So when WE, THE PEOPLE depose them (and we will) what do we do?

100%

No only is it bribery and extortion, it's doing so to get a foreign power to help Trump get elected (again).    There has never been a more impeachable offense by any American president.

Best quote of the day from the communist
socialist democrat party ?

"Hearsay can be much better evidence than direct"..

It's not a good argument that second hand accounts aren't good enough when you refuse to allow those who do have first hand accounts to testify.

"they released the aid" is not a valid defense
