James Comey's next reckoning is imminent — this time for leaking
The Justice Department’s chief watchdog is preparing a damning report on James Comey’s conduct in his final days as FBI director that likely will conclude he leaked classified information and showed a lack of candor after his own agency began looking into his feud with President Trump over the Russia probe.

Inspector General (IG) Michael Horowitz’s team referred Comey for possible prosecution under the classified information protection laws, but Department of Justice (DOJ) prosecutors working for Attorney General William Barr reportedly have decided to decline prosecution — a decision that’s likely to upset Comey's conservative critics.

Prosecutors found the IG’s findings compelling but decided not to bring charges because they did not believe they had enough evidence of Comey’s intent to violate the law, according to multiple sources.

But Comey and others inside the FBI and the DOJ during his tenure still face legal jeopardy in ongoing probes by the IG and Barr-appointed special prosecutor John Durham. Those investigations are focused on the origins of the Russia investigation that included a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant targeting the Trump campaign at the end of the 2016 election, the source said.

“There are significant issues emerging with how the FISA was handled and other conduct in the investigation, and everyone involved remains under scrutiny,” a second source said.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said she was in favor of abolishing the Department of Homeland Security this week.

In an interview with New York Radio's David Remnick, the Democratic firebrand called the DHS an “egregious mistake.”

Ocasio-Cortez made the comment in reference to her previous calls to abolish Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

"ICE is not under DOJ, it's under the Department of Homeland Security and so we have now —" Ocasio-Cortez said.

"Would you get rid of Homeland Security too?" Remnick asked.

"I think so," Ocasio-Cortez responded. "I think so." (The Daily Wire)

DHS was created in the aftermath of 9/11 and is designed to prevent terrorist attacks and respond to threats against Americans.

According to The Daily Wire:

Eliminating DHS would bring an end to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), United States Secret Service (USSS), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Management Directorate, Science and Technology Directorate, Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Office, Office of Intelligence and Analysis, and the Office of Operations Coordination.

DHS deals mainly with counterterrorism operations, border security, immigration law, cybersecurity, and disaster relief. Their annual budget is over $45 million.

Navy SEAL Edward Gallagher found not guilty on murder and attempted murder charges

A jury found decorated Navy SEAL Edward "Eddie" Gallagher not guilty Tuesday on almost all charges he was facing, including murder and attempted murder, in the killing of a teenage Islamic State member in Iraq.

Gallagher was accused of stabbing to death a 15-year-old ISIS fighter in 2017 and posing with the corpse for photos.

As he awaited the charges to be read, Gallagher, 40, bounced lightly on his feet, appearing nervous, but dissolved into joyful tears once the verdict came through, tightly embracing his wife, Andrea, who has publicly championed him throughout the case as they both cried. Also seated in the gallery were Gallagher's attorneys, brother and parents, all of whom he exchanged hugs.

"Suffice to say, huge victory, huge weight off the Gallaghers, huge victory for justice," Gallagher's attorney Marc Mukasey said after the verdict, adding that his client cried "tears of joy, emotion, freedom, absolute euphoria and proud of the process."

About time.
Barr Assigns U.S. Attorney in Connecticut to Review Origins of Russia Inquiry

Attorney General William Barr has reportedly assigned a federal prosecutor in Connecticut to examine the origins of the investigation into Russian election interference and alleged ties between the Trump campaign and Moscow.

The New York Times, citing two people familiar with the matter, reported on Monday night that John H. Durham, U.S. attorney in Connecticut, had been tapped by Barr to look into the probe's inception. The newspaper reported the inquiry is the third publicly known investigation focused on the FBI's counterintelligence probe of the Trump campaign.

DOJ inspector general Michael E. Horowitz is reviewing how investigators used wiretap applications and informants, as well as whether political bias motivated decision making.

John W. Huber, the United States attorney in Utah, is also examining aspects of the investigation.

A spokesman for Durham's office and the Department of Justice (DOJ) declined a request for comment from The Times. DOJ did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The Hill.

Durham was nominated by Trump in 2017 and has served as a lawyer within the Justice Department for nearly 40 years, according to The Times. He has a history of performing special investigations.

Attorney General Michael B. Mukasey assigned Durham to conduct a probe of the Central Intelligence Agency in 2008 over the agency destroying videotapes that showed terrorism suspects being tortured.

Bloomberg News reported in April that Barr had formed a team to review the actions of the Justice Department and FBI leading up to the Russia investigation. He told Congress around that time that he was reviewing" the conduct of the investigation and trying to get my arms around all the aspects of the counterintelligence investigation that was conducted during the summer of 2016."

He also testified before a Senate Appropriations subcommittee that he believed "spying" took place.

"But the question is whether it was adequately predicated and I'm not suggesting it wasn't adequately predicated, but I need to explore that," he said.

FBI Director Christopher Wray said last week that he wouldn't use "spying" to describe lawful investigative activities taken up by the FBI.

Durham's new assignment comes just weeks after the Justice Department released special counsel Robert Mueller's report, which detailed the findings of his 22-month investigation into President Trump.

Mueller's investigation did not uncover evidence to conclude that a conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Moscow took place. But the report noted that Mueller could not come to a conclusive determination in regards to whether the president obstructed justice.

UPDATED 9:06 p.m.

Presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders revealed on Monday that he believes all Americans over the age of 18 should be given the right to vote, which includes violent felons such as terrorists and rapists on death row.

Ok. folks, let's review what the far left democrat presidential
candidates and many liberals want to implement if they
win the White House.

Let all convicted felons in prison vote.

The green new deal costing roughly $93 trillion.

Medicare for all. Cost about $25 to $35 trillion.

Free college. $47 billion a year.

Let 16 year olds vote.

Abolish I.C.E.

Protect sanctuary cities.

Open borders. Beto wants to tear down our
existing walls we have.
Reparations. Cost unknown along with determining
who is authorized to receive the reparations.

Gun control. Kamala Harris will take "executive " action on
gun control if congress can't pass new legislation.

Eliminate the electoral college.

I believe these are the most disturbing plans of
the radical left presidential candidates and the
democrat party itself  have, to totally change
the United States for the worse, forever.

I am sure there are plenty more crazy destructive
plans the radical left liberals have to destroy
our great country.
