Cajun Economics

It's a slow day in Mamou, Louisiana.  The sun is beating down, and the streets are deserted.
Times are tough, everybody is in debt, and everybody lives on credit.

On this particular day a traveling Shreveport salesman is driving
through town.  He stops at the Hotel Cazan and lays a $100 bill on
the desk saying he wants to inspect the rooms upstairs in order to
pick one in which to spend the night.

As soon as the man walks upstairs, Bosco, the owner, grabs the bill
and runs next door to pay his debt to Boudreaux, the butcher.

Boudreaux takes the $100 and runs down the street to retire his debt
to Trosclair, the pig farmer.

Trosclair takes the $100 and heads off to pay his bill at T-Boy's
Farmers Co-op, the local supplier of feed and fuel.

T-Boy, at the Farmer's Co-op, takes the $100 and runs to pay his debt to
the local prostitute, Clarise,  who has also been facing hard times and
has had to offer her "services" on credit.

Clarise rushes to the hotel and pays off her room bill with Bosco,
the hotel owner.

Bosco then places the $100 back on the counter so the travelling
salesman will not suspect anything.

At that moment the salesman comes down the stairs, picks up the $100
bill, states that the rooms are not satisfactory, pockets the money,
and leaves town.  The whole town is now out of debt.  However, no one
produced anything and no one earned anything and no one has anything
left.

And that, my friend, is how the United States Government
is conducting business today.

This is stupid.

These people were in debt for services rendered, therefore things were produced and sold or services provided on credit. You tried limiting the importance of what happened, but the reality is that the debt was paid off.

Look, Ron Paul is a silly old man with a hard heart. He doesn't stand a chance of winning, and what he says really should not be repeated by ANYONE who claims to be intelligent.

Anyone can claim to be intelligent. Obsurder does it all the time.

No. I'm afraid that what Ron Paul says isn't repeated by anyone who actually is intelligent, and that's going to have to do. Wink

Alex Forrest,

How did you get so insecure? Did it come from getting your ass kicked by the preteen girls in your Kung Fu class? Is it a result of being booted from just about every forum on which you have ever posted? Is it because of your inability to convince anyone that you are the economics or legal expert you wish you were?

I guess it doesn't really matter. The bottom line is that you are a sick little fucker who can't post in a thread without mentioning me.

There you go speaking for everyone else again.

I have convinced Washington University at St. Louis School of Law that I am an expert on the law. I have convinced the Illinois Supreme Court that I am an expert on the law. I have convinced at least 1,000 clients and several hundred judges that I am an expert on the law.

You're the only shit head who isn't convinced, but then you're nobody and nothing.

As for economics, I likewise had sufficient qualifications to get an undergraduate degree. Again, you have nothing.

You are without qualification to nullify my very real qualifications. That raises a very interesting question about your character, or lack thereof. Since you are without qualifications to make the statements that you're making, attempting rather lamely, to take something from me that I've earned through a lot of hard work, what's the difference between you and thief?

What do you think about my idea of him being a common thief?

So?

What you have done is convince them that you know something about some aspect of the law. That's all.

You have madde it quite obvious that you know little or nothing about the United States Constitution.

Meaningless. All that means is that you learned to spew back to your professors the same bullshit they spewed at you.

What it means is that I have completed a course of studies at a legitimate, highly regarded institution of higher learning and have been accredited by people who, unlike you, are qualified.

You have a problem with facts.

Actually Obsurder, your severe and radical ideology isn't a qualification. You have a radical and extreme view of the Constitution which is accepted pretty much by fringe lunatics. That doesn't qualify you to render any conclusions.

Go take your pills.

I don't take any pills, shit hook.

Oooh, there's those pesky facts again that you hate so much.

By the way, I don't claim to be a Constitutional scholar. That's you making that unfounded claim, not me. So your stupid attacks on me are, well, just that.

Get a brain, moran.

Sell me yours. It has obviously never been used, so it should be in "like new" condition.

I know enough about the Constitution to know that you're a fraud and a poseur.

When you think about it, you raise a real good question as it pertains to Observer and the theif.
