I thought I’d solicit people’s ideas about this topic. DougRich – you seem to be a rather opinionated fellow; why don’t we start with you:

Do you begrudge survivors of genocide the desire to seek revenge?

Revenge?  Apparently, Mornac never tires of making Jesus cry.


Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, "Vengeance is mine, I will repay," says the Lord. (Romans 12.9)

“You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ But I say to you, Do not resist the one who is evil. But if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. (Matt 5.38-39)

Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing. (1 Peter 3.9)
