Elizabeth Warren on Fair Taxation

"There is nobody in this country who got rich on his own. Nobody. You built a factory out there - good for you. But I want to be clear. You moved your goods to market on the roads the rest of us paid for. You hired workers the rest of us paid to educate. You were safe in your factory because of police forces and fire forces that the rest of us paid for. You didn't have to worry that marauding bands would come and seize everything at your factory... Now look. You built a factory and it turned into something terrific or a great idea - God Bless! Keep a Big Hunk of it. But part of the underlying social contract is you take a hunk of that and pay forward for the next kid who comes along." - Elizabeth Warren

What she didn't mention is that the factory owner paid more taxes and license fees than those who didn't build the factory. He contributed more to pay for those roads and the police forces and fire departments than those who didn't build the factory.

BUT.................he got vastly more than he paid for...............and if he made the right political payoffs he even got compensated by the taxpapers when his own stupidity ruined the business.

And without the factory and entreprenuers there would be no jobs, no taxes, and so on.  But a pig headed socialist cannot lower himself to give credit where credit is due.  Losers in his caste don't operate factories, they just prey on those who do.

Numb nuts needs to look at Detroit, no factories, no jobs, no workers, no taxes. And in a farm community you have the same effect for a different reasons, but without factories and employers the socialists have nothing to fleece to finance their giveaway programs.

The fucking juvenile just don't get it, tax revenues don't grow on trees, and the have nots aren't about to pay their own way.

Is liberalism a genetic disorder?

You don't know this.

That never stops you from shooting off your mouth.

If you actually understood the subject you would realize that what you're suggesting is impossible. It is actually the other way around. Without demand there would be no factory and no entrepreneurs.

You can't have one without the other.  Well, you can.  You can outsource the fucking jobs which is what you fucking Liberals are making us do because you have made the corporate structure impossible to function in this country.  THAT, sir, is what the "Conservatives" are trying to tell you, but will you listen?

Oh, Hell no!!   Roll Eyes

There was no demand for the iPod until Apple created one. There was no demand for the pet rock until somebody created one.

There has to be demand to sustain a new product, but more often that not, that demand is created by the producer and marketing people.

The charlatan forgets to tell you the true nature of demand.  Just wanting something is not demand in the economic sense.  True demand implies the ability to buy something, which means income, you know, that sort of musty shit that comes from having a job.

An economy that does not have a manufacturing base or some other means of production such as mining or farming is a house of cards.  Pusshead doesn't understand that because he has never had to work for a wage. No, he just fucks gullible old ladies out of their wealth by being their "financial adviser".  My ass.

simply incorrect. Heck YOU have income which DOES NOT come from a job, don'tcha.

In fact YOU receive a government check whose main economic purpose is to prop up DEMAND!!!!!!

Are you trying to recycle Say's Law?

I see that Obsurder is doing exactly that. The answer to your dilemma here is that there will be a supply to meet the demand as long as the marginal profit equals zero. Now there is some discussion and some disagreement over the details of that, but it is generally true that someone will produce the goods or services if there is demand.

And where Obsurder really fails here is that he doesn't understand aggregate demand, but I'm done delving into his ignorance.

Good point.

I'm sure you're not going to like this but actually, since all of our money comes from our government in our fiat currency system, the fact of the matter is that all wealth is spent into existence by the government.

But that's a bridge too far for the dullards here to comprehend.

You are being ridiculous.  Without corporations, no employees.  Without employees, no corporations.  Both are necessary to survive.  Both depend on consumers.  No consumers, no corporations, no employees.  No resources, no corporations, no employees, no consumers.  That's something called "a desert."

You get to a certain point in your thinking and you just stop.  I never thought of you being intellectually lazy before.
