I've never denied there was slavery...and lots of it.  What you deny is that *I* (and every white man on the planet) isn't responsible for slavery from over 200 years ago, no matter where they lived, no matter when they entered the United States from another country even up to today and any time in the future they migrate from another country that isn't black.

I'm iffy on the details, but seem to recall that the Moors held portions of Spain for some time. Of course, that was a foreign invasion and occupation, and human slavery may or may not have been a component. Afraid my historical knowledge of that particular episode in European history consists largely of what I remember from watching Charlton Heston in El Cid.

Whenever I read that some other part of the world - Southeast Asia, or the Middle East - has been "at war for a thousand years", I always think of the peaceful Native Americans, who used to routinely slaughter and enslave one another, skin prisoners alive - all manner of lovely passtimes.
