That's your own conclusion. How you arrived at it only you can know.

Not at all. I can't speak to this board, because I've been here such a short time; however over at NoPC, polaris (dopesmoker) and a couple of others are very fond of describing the "Liberal" philosophy of this, that and the other thing - usually based on a single, (frequently out-of-context) statement of one "Liberal" individual - and making the case that, not only do all "Liberals" agree with it, but that only "Liberals" could ever be guilty of whatever error arises from it.

No one, regardless of party or affiliation, is exempt from the error of disounting or ignoring the truth and/or logic of a situation. No one has a monopoly on rationality and fairness.

This is a popular tactic on these types of forums. These idiots define liberals, liberalism and our viewpoints from THEIR perspective, according to them and don't allow us to define it. At least, they don't accept our explanations. Mornac is probably this forums greatest example of this practice.

I'll wager he doesn't have a thing on Polaris/dopesmoker. A few years ago, challenged to present some proof that the traditionally "Liberal" take on some topic - abortion, I think - was actually Communist-inspired, he offered some long-winded "quote", which he shortly thereafter had to admit he'd written himself.  Roll Eyes

Several times, he's discovered a new book linking "Liberalism" to everything from Karl Marx to Satan himself, and proceded to have multiple orgasms all over the board.

So, what did you think of the content of THE OBSOLETE MAN?Cheesy

I watched the first part, but then couldn't link to where the rest of it was to be found. I'd like to watch the entire episode, if possible.

Well, stick around and see for yourself. A few weeks back Mornac posted some gay porn that was supposedly being made at one of the OWS protests. He was basically-in not so many words-making the assumption that this behavior is exclusively part of the liberal agenda and a liberal behavior trait, and that he and all conservatives and republicans are above this type of thing. Also once called out for posting the porn in here to begin with, launched a "is this what you would call porn" style debate as if he wouldn't have any idea himself what is or is not porn. Stick around,it gets better,as they say.

--“Liberal” is a conceptual adjective – not a factual noun. It can be used to describe the leanings of a person or a movement as long as the one employing it is prepared to explain its meaning as he is using it in a given instance.

--Agree fully. My problem with some of the folks here is that they won’t even recognize that there is such a thing as truth and they get upset (not to mention tight-lipped) when you present them with logic.

--FANTASTIC! So is it "yes" or "no"?

I have given you the answer.

Now it's your turn, oh master of the circularity: Who, exactly, gets to go to heaven?

You won't answer it. You will talk in circle like you always do.

I already know your answer. We know your tautological use of the word "reason". You, of course, are better than everyone else because you have attained "reason" because you accept your recidivist vision of the Catholic Church, which is pre-Vatican II. Right? This to you is "reason" because it is.

In order to be saved, all persons who have attained the use of reason must believe explicitly that God exists and that She rewards the good and punishes the wicked. To gain access to Heaven one must also believe in the mysteries of the Blessed Trinity and the Incarnation and blah blah.

In other words it's pure, unadulterated turn or burn. I was correct and you can't give a straight answer to anything.

And then you mock me because I acknowledge that I can't know whether subjective beings can ever know objective truth.
