I don’t really see much reason for moderators in the first place other than to weed out those guys that just register to advertise. Total freedom of speech works pretty well when the membership is smart enough to ignore ignorance rather than give it a back massage by entering into a conversation with it. Idiots who are ignored soon go away to bother someone who will get visibly annoyed by them. That said, a forum owner can make up any rules he wants to and if he needs people to enforce them, then so be it. As a guest in places like this I always respect the rules of the guy paying the rent.

Now to answer in the spirit intended by bad's question, I'd suggest we start him out small.  Say, by selecting certain individuals for bad to moderate rather than the whole site.

Let's say we start him out on John, then move on to JC3, then IM2--see how that goes?
