You have to actively seek employment and must provide a minimum of 5 contacts per week, complete with a place of employ address and phone number and management contact name which must be submitted to validate each weeks unemployment claim. To this day I still have all of those records and contact names, etc, should an audit ever occur. in this economy and lack of jobs-there are several million just like me who have gone through the same extreme. Thankfully, I am employed now, which is something that you all seem to ignore and only focus on the period I was unemployed which is no different than millions of other Americans.
