There is something about an obstinate bigoted person that rubs me wrong, so I looked for other viewpoints on the issue, thin kin that I was being unfair
and thin skinned.  I don't think so after reading the above article. The subject is not easy to get to but it is well worth the effort to find it.  Try page 368 if you get lost.

Although some of the thoughts in the above article are not derived from the biblical text, the passages are nonetheless right on the mark.

Is there any way to put a stop to such people and their trolling, short of banning them?  Well, maybe not at newsrake, but these fools pay the price
every time they open their mouths and show their demented minds. Thank God they have to live with themselves, and we can ignore their idiocy
and rudeness if we wish.

Sadly, there are personality disorders, which are classified as mental conditions, for which there is no cure and very little help.  So the best approach is to put them on ignore status and do not yield to the temptation to dress them down when you see their obnoxious comments that are designed to make trouble and to get other people into trouble.

These people need to be put on notice that they are living on borrowed time at newsrake, and forget about a promise by them to clean up their act.
They are not only incorrigible, they are also untreatable, so write them off as a lost cause and forget they even exist. I am sure that doing so will be very beneficial to their fragile egos and their low esteem.

I have the misfortune to live with a person that is also afflicted with a personality disorder, so I know first hand how frustrating it is to even try to be nice to such a person. They don't respond to kindness because they can't, they are sick. So my wife and I just tolerate it the best we can, and hope that someday the offender will take the hint and move on.

Here is a favorite of mine.  "Obstinate men do not hold opinions, they hold him  -  Pope."
