At the store the other day, they were out of regular pepsi, but did have a 12 pack of "throwback" pepsi(original logo design) made with real sugar...We went for it, and the taste took us back to when we were kids. not much different, except for the aftertaste, but it was nostalgic....

I have NEVER liked any diet soda drinks....

Unless you have issues with sugar, it would be healthier than aspartame or even splenda, etc. Stevia is probably the safest sweetener.... I try to stay away from pepsi and coke mostly....

But I am allergic to these.

Not me....I'm not much of a coffee drinker, but start me an IV drip of either coke or pepsi and I'm a happy camper... Or find it for me in the patch....

The best tasting sweetener was cyclamates but taken off the market..When I was child I could never tell the difference....in kool-aid or soda pop.

Sugar is much maligned, but  in moderation, it's probably... safer than some of chemicals out there.  The Mexican version of pepsi and coke have cane sugar..I think back in the 1970's when sugar went up in price, they started using fructose and corn syrup...(sorry if this has been mentioned before). To me fructose is a poor substitute..no matter what they say it's not the same.

Is there any real science behind the claims of health risks here?
