If Iran had flown a spy plane or drone over the US or Israel, what do you think would have happened to it?

They did the very same thing to Iraq, hoping Saddam would attack so they would have an excuse to invade and conquer.

There has been no solid proof that Iran has made or is making nuclear weapons. Iran IS a signatory of the Non-Porliferation Treaty. Iran has and will allow IAEA inspections of it's nuclear facilities.

However, Israel has admitted to having nuclear weapons. There has been picture proof of these weapons. Israel IS NOT a signatory to the Non-Proliferation Treaty. Israel has never and will never allow IAEA inpections of their nuclear facilities. We have no idea who these nuclear weapons are aimed at either.

The main reason the US and Israel continually are pushing for either an attack or a war with Iran is because it is the last of the "crown-jewel" of land and resources that Israel craves in it's ongoing Operation Shekinah plan.

Why none of you are willing to see this is beyond belief. Shocked

P.S. Ivan, look at your post. You might want to modify it.

Thanks, I did a terrible job of copying it in.

If Iran had flown a spy plane over the US I assume that we would have tried to  bring it down.  I cannot speak for Israel.

This sort of stuff probably goes on all the time, that and satellites gathering intel on a country of interest.

I assume the navigation link to  the controller from the plane is via satellite.  Are you asking how it could clear the mountains?

A later article has is that the contollers lost control of bird. What happened to the old excuse of mechanical failure?  Roll Eyes

Actualy, I am not knocking the US for spying on Iran, if that is really the case, as the info may be needed someday.  Let's hope not.

Just poking fun at the DOD.  Sure wouldn't want to knock my old AF buddies?   Cool

Personally, I'm not willing to commit to a belief in the so-called Operation Shekinah plan, but the first (quoted) paragraph of your post is beyond dispute. The political state of Israel has proven, time after time, its willingness to sacrifice any number of innocent lives, to spy on and steal secrets from its most consistent and generous international supporters, even to attack friendly forces (like the U.S.S. Liberty), in order to maintain the fiction of its ongoing victim status, and the reality of its place as sole possessor of nuclear weapons technology in the region.

Would I feel safer in a world in which Iran had nuclear weapons? Certainly not...but I don't feel all that much better about Israel having them.

Hollybaere, I can't help but comment on the fact that you posted what you did, in this thread, more than three weeks ago, and in all that time no one has openly accused you of being an anti-Semite. I find that remarkable, given the number of active "Conservative" posters here. At NoPC, such a thing would never occur, an unquestioning and indiscriminate favoring, bordering on worship, of all things Israel being a prevalent shibboleth of Right Wing political correctness there.

She speaks the truth, and the truth stands on its own merits. So screw those ignorant fools who shout anti-semitic and other forms of wailing that the Jew dominated media has drummed into their heads for decades now.  The Jews need to realize the Holocaust is over and that their proverbial victim status doesn't have much traction like it used to.

No doubt the conniving bastards will keep the fires of revenge burning, but is it any skin off our asses, seeing that a lot of good American men and women died trying to put the Nazi killing machine out of business. I think we have done more than enough so they need to find some other sucker country to sponge off of.

Little things that leak out in the posts tell me that a lot of posters don't buy the Isreali act.  However, they don't have the balls to speak up.
