Anti-Bank Dem Maxine Waters Rises On Key Financial Panel
Rules: If you thought Rep. Barney Frank was bad, his likely replacement is worse. Rep. Maxine Waters is Congress' most anti-bank member — unless she owns stock in one, that is.

If we could only find someone willing to insist that banks actually possess the money they offer to loan .... before they loan it.

I doubt it. that would be considered unnecessary government regulation, against freedom, etc by Ron Paul

Ron Paul?

Ron Paul could very easily die in office of natural causes(see-old age). We don't need that-or any nutball he'd pick as a veep. Sorry. I know there a handful of folks here who like him, but he's a boutique candidate. Limited appeal, and he will never be elected. Therefore it is a wasted vote.

This thread is about Maxine Waters...

Does Maxine Waters support a move away from a privately created and controlled money supply, issued and loaned to government at interest? If not then she can't be considered 'Anti-Bank'.

Anti-Bank means one thing and one thing only ... the support of a government controlled money supply.

Ron Paul?

Maybe ... if Ron Paul wants to seize control of the Federal Reserve System and nationalize it.

What do you mean?  American banks essentially loan out the depositors' money plus some of their own investment, but most of the funds for the loans don't actually exist except for the acturial principle behind fractional reserves.

This has been the practice in America for centuries and its usually works ok. However, recent abuses by the major banks are a real challege to our bankng system.
The system has gone nuts and has been taken over by a bunch of white collar thugs.

I don't look for any meaningful reform to take place because money is power.  It is like the little biblical character that took on the giant, a very lopsided contest.

Sorry but  I can't remember who the lad with the slingsholt was or the name of the giant.
