This video is sick and should be banned from this forum.  It is degrading to the very foundation of this great country. A sicko might find it amusing but I found it disgusting.

Notoc makes an issue of there being no God, but he is wrong.  Mornac himself described his concept of what God was like one day in a post, and I agree with him.
God exists in a conceptual manner, in the minds of men, and as long as there are those who believe he exists then he will continue to exist, and all the naysayers in the world won't talk him down. I am not much a believer myself but at least I canm see what religion is about and what it is worth.

If the thought that God exists influences peoples' behavior and thinking then why is it so important that he exist in the corporeal sense? There is merit to the adage that God works thru man.

Organized religion means different things to different people, but to me it is a behavioral system that is intended to teach people right from wrong and to guide them thru life.  The very concept of Heaven as a reward for good behavior and the concept of Hell as the punishment for misbehaving are basic premises of religion in general. Men recognized long ago that mere mortals are fallible so they appealed to a higher authority for guidance. So what if it is made up and fictitous, it works well for millions of people who have a genuine desire to do the right thing.

So religious beliefs are codified beliefs of what is proper and beneficial behavior that has been tried and proven down thru the ages. What is wrong with that, and why knock it?  I don't know anything about notoc's behavior but it is obvious to me that the jails are full of people who might have learned something had they spent more time in church and less in the back street gutters of Chicago, just to name one armpit of civiliazation that plagues America.

Now this sounds more like: "as long as we all continue to bullshit each other we can convince ourselves we believe the bullshit."

Is there a real god or only a "conceptual" god. Why should there be any differentiating unless it's total bullshit to begin with. Look, I've got a conceptual million dollars in my hand, if you believe in conceptual bullshit.

Sounds like a bunch of conceptual bullshit to me.....conceptually speaking that is....

If you are so closed minded as to not get any value from religious beliefs than that is your problem.

The concept is above your paygrade.  We are speaking of the influence on peoples' behavior and thinking.  Does it really really matter how God exists  if those beliefs are effective?  Don't judge all peoples' religious experience by your own.
