My brother has taken his first shot of Lupron to help treat his prostate cancer, and it is about a thousand bucks a shot.  One every 4 to 6 months for a few years.  This substance is also used for a varietry of other reasons so someone is getting fat off the deal. I think he also has to get radiation treatments for 22 sessions.

There is no doubt that medical costs are out of control.  Too bad we do not have a mechanism by which we could control the costs in the medical system.
