AIG is just one little bitty thread in that big tapestry, Vel. Its finances need to be made transparent. Something doesn't add up.

It doesn't take a Maynard Keynes to figure that out/

I'm not relying on Keynes. I'm relying on a lot of other talented people who are in a position to know what they're talking about. They were shocked at the affect of Lehman having failed and they let it fail to try to prove their stupid ideology.

I'm telling you that if AIG went down we would be in the Great Republican Depression II right now.

Again, where are your sources for your conclusions?

read: no real oversight...no transparency on funding/government money going where to whom, etc.

I am surprised at you, Vel....You would be one person I would think would want transparency and accountability in government. News I am getting today is that at the same time the billionaires are crying for more fed funding for the banks, now people won't even be able to fish any longer....is that true?

What is that? Starve the little guys with their boats and little gardens and give more money to those who just got multi-millions paid in bonuses for bad behavior?

AIG is not the only game in town. Depression will come when people cannot feed or house themselves across the country....
