Sassy,

Republicans blamed Bill Clinton for everything that went wrong for 8 years.  When you can come to realize this, maybe you won't ask this question again.

Yep and if the Republicans aren't blaming the Democrats, the Democrats are blaming the Republicans.  I have no use for either of them, and that's why they can never solve anything, they are too busy playing the blame game.

Don't worry IM2.  To ask the question again would be an exercise in futility since no one has an answer.

I will say this though...There is a grace period when anyone takes on a new job/position.  After that...The responsibility falls directly on them.  To continue to blame the "other guy" makes one appear weak at best and stupid at worst.  Since I do not believe for one minute Obama is stupid, that leaves weak.  Not a good image when you're seeking reelection.

Why is it difficult to understand: hold Obama responsible for the things he has done.  Hold Bush responsible for the things he has done.  Look at Iraq and Afghanistan.  The spending, the instability of the region, all of this is the responsibility of the previous Administration, to a large extent.  You should know as well as i do that should Obama simply just pull troops from those nations the instability that would follow would have horrific consequences locally and globally.  We would have not one, but three failed states in the region, a more powerful Iran and a Pakistan more on the brink than it has ever been.  Every bit of that is due to the hubris of the previous Administration.  If the current Administration was doing nothing to extricate us from the region while providing for stability they would be to blame as well.  But it is a lot easier getting into than out of a war like these.

i have already stated my position on that.  With regard to the healthcare bill, his bill was not a single payer bill from the get go.  It is silly to predend that he promoted it as progressive legislation.  Hell, he even said he did not campaign on the public option.

"I didn't campaign on the public option," Obama said in the interview.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/12/22/did-obama-campaign-on-the_n_401204.html

i am not saying he is a tea bagger or a republican.  i am saying that he is a conservative democrat.  in our political spectrum that would make him a moderate.  i do not find anything wrong with that, but i would never mistake him for a progressive.

Have you ever shown your stripes.  A progressive?  That makes you a fucking communist just like the self avowed socialist from Chicago.  You two need to meet more often
and plot your overthrow of the US.  You had better hurry it up before Obama finished wrecking the joint because there won't be much left for you fucking leeches to divvy up.

I know...It's  difficult to answer.  I'm not looking for excuses.  Like I said...Blaming the other guy is just weak.

MSP the thread is locked about where Coit stands.  He would be far left and up high because he is an avowed socialist, and that requires an authoritarian government to put the screws to people against their will.

Socially and morally speaking he is a rebel like Tweety Bird and likes to make up the rules as needed to suit his agenda.  Two bit lawyers tend to think they can  get away with that shit.

i am not blaming the other guy.  Many of you righties want simple answers.  i think i was pretty clear and accurate with my statement and i doubt there is anything you could reasonably disagree with in it.

Cunt

You have no idea what you are talking about.  Parroting that stupid shit Observer tells you in your PMs is just ridiculous and boring.  i am farther to the left than pretty much anyone you would ever meet.  i am a socialist.  Where was i on the graph?  bottom left.  In fact, the only person posting here on the authoritarian scale was you.  JustMe just straddles it, Dustup and MSP are close but you are two spaces over on the line....and on the left side of the graph.  You are farther to the left than Obama.  Let's just remind everyone of the final chart, pinko.
