Since this little "challenge" is going to continue, day in and day out, to permeate every single thread on this board, I did some digging and finally found the original post outlining the "challenge".

Now, here's a little challenge for you. It should be easy for someone with your academic credentials. Go back and dig up even one post in which I claimed something I said had to be true because I served in the military.

Just one will do.

Let's take it a step farther and see just how confident you are in your ability to carry out this relatively simple task.  Are you willing to leave the forum forever if you can't support your claim? I will state right here that I AM willing to leave if you can.

What do you say, John... have you got the balls to back up the bullshit that spews from your mouth?

Just digging for that took long enough.  Does anyone have the information as to where the "answer to the challenge" can be found?  I've looked and can't find it.

Thanks is advance.

John can spam the forum as much as he wants. I have put him back on ignore and won't waste any more bandwidth responding to the little pile of dung.

Sassy,

There are two things: i never made the claim Observer "claimed something I said had to be true because I served in the military";  i stated that he used his alleged service in the military as an appeal to authority in some posts.  i based me response on MY claim which is what he was actually disputing.  i demonstrated my point in replies on the same thread:

Reply 83; Reply 93; Reply 95; Reply 97; Reply 99; Reply 100; Reply 101; Reply 103.

And, honestly the proof of the pudding is in the eating, neither Ivan, the lickspittle nor foodserver challenged the evidence of the claims i had made.

i will say right now i think it is silly to make such statements and the posters who do leave themselves wide open for ridicule.  i stated when i posted the evidence of MY claim, which is what the challenge was about, that i did not believe he would leave.  He hasn't the integrity to leave.  Does that mean he will not be mocked for it?  Of course not.  Does that upset you?  Well, take it up with mr lack of integrity.

Everyone here knows you are being dishonest.

Thanks for the reference, john.  I'll go check them out.

I read the reference.  Here's where I see it differently...

Observers "challenge" was "Go back and dig up even one post in which I claimed something I said had to be true because I served in the military."

Now...I didn't see that (something I said HAD to be true BECAUSE I served) as being the issue in those references.

He talked about his "experience" and how that contributed to his "perspective".  He also talked about his "qualifications" as well as what personal experience developed his "insight" into certain things. Which...If I were discussing brain surgery with someone, I would definitely give more credence to an actual brain surgeon, than a butcher who prepares brains for human consumption.

IMO...I didn't see anywhere where Observer claimed what he said "HAD to be true BECAUSE he served in the military".

That's just my 2 cents.  I simply don't see it.

Sassy, You see it correctly.

The other thing I would add of course, is that John never actually accepted the challenge to begin with. I have no doubt that he did this to provide himself with an out if he lost.

It is a coward's way of doing things and exactly what I expected of him.

His experience does represent an authority or position of expertise on some military matters. John is like a lot of New Age imbeciles in that he can't stand people who are responsible and competent. He is a jealous punk who spews philosophy for a living.

Here is the problem.  He was challenging my claim.  The fact that he misrepresented my claim is immaterial to my claim.  My claim was that he referred to his alleged experience as an appeal to authority to bolster his claims.  You have in your post admitted the accuracy of my claim.

Actually untrue.  You challenge was that you would leave if i provided quotes.  That was accepted by providing the quotes.  Performance is acceptance.

When an idiot tells one lie then he has to tell  more lies to cover the first one.  I would hate to have to live on the lam like he does.  Just what does he get out of it?

I think that he and the other disadvantaged bozos on this forum need to go together and start a funny farm.  Maybe Bama  Baby can set them up in a new bus made in Canada? A cattle truck might be more appropriate except for the smell.

His alleged experience represents nothing without verification.

--Yeah, and now she’s about to become another butt of his idiocy simply because she caught him out. (Looks as though he's at it already). Welcome to the club Sassy. Sorry you stumbled into this.
