I was just reading this news story from today and it reminded me that the question on this thread  was never adequately answered. As there are some new members here and a certain amount of time has past since we had that conversation, I thought maybe this would be a good time to bring it to everyone’s attention again and see if anyone has some new insight.

Poor sad mornac, you offered at some point in the future to possibly consider his ideas.  Why would you consider illegitimate ideas?

I am not familiar with Elmhurst College but a quick glance at its website shows that it is a private institution that wants to diversify its student body and toward that end it has asked applicants whether they are gays or lesbians. I see no reason at all why I am supposed to care what a private college does or does not do with respect to its application process.

So what is it that you think you're trying to say here?

--I’m not familiar with Elmhurst College either, but I didn’t have to consult their website to get the information that you found there. All of that was obvious from the news story that I linked to.
