i wanted this to go out to Eric Cantor who wants to double down on the main cause of the downgrade: republican intransigence on taxes.

Revenue isn't the problem. The federal government will take in about 4.5 TRILLION dollars this year in taxes. The problem is SPENDING.

If we can't run the government on 4.5 TRILLION dollars a year, we need to tear the whole thing down and start from scratch.

Dude, it's just not your money.

Sorry it isn't more complicated than that...

Revenue is precisely one major problem.

Be a man John.

i am.  You are answering actual statements with what amounts to the whining of a 5 year old.  If you are ignorant of our constitutional system, there is nothing i can say to your whining.

And what if only you and a small group of people like you believe what you're saying here? Then what?

Facts are not based on consensus.

Are you saying that your conclusions are facts? Don't you think that is just a little arrogant?

Not at all.

Do you not think 4.5 Trillion dollars should be sufficient to run the legitimate, constitutionally authorized functions of the Federal Government?

Not at all.

I subscribe to the notion that a conclusion is just the place where you tired of thinking, and the notion that your conclusions are facts shows a very tired mind.

Obviously your mind tired here, so why do you bother to ask?

I would have a lot of real questions to ask before I arrived at any conclusion. No offense but I have read your your assertions here for a couple of weeks now and about the only conclusion I have reached so far is that I can do a lot better if I asked someone that's at least a little more open minded and less stuck on him or herself than you are.
