Michael Voris and the Catholic Church

Every few years the Catholic Church sponsors an event called World Youth Day in which Catholic youth come together to celebrate faith and life with the Holy Father.  Guess who was specifically mentioned as not being connected to the event?  Mornac's favorite goon Michael Voris.  Let me quote from the press release:

It has come to our attention that Michael Voris, a US based media producer, is scheduled to offer independent catechesis sessions out of a hotel in Madrid during World Youth Day 2011. There has been some confusion regarding his affiliation with World Youth Day. Michael Voris, the clergy and the laity associated with him, and their media efforts “Real Catholic TV” and “No Bull in Madrid” are not in any way recognized or approved by World Youth Day 2011.

and a little later....

Those groups participating in the World Youth Day 2011 Cultural Festival have been selected because, through their various activities, they promote the authentic teaching and unity of the Roman Catholic Church and have been endorsed by their local Bishop and Espiscopal conference. Michael Voris, "Real Catholic TV" and "No Bull in Madrid" did not receive such endorsement from their Bishop or Episcopal Conference.

 Very interesting to see that the bullshit he has been propulgating is not even approved by the Catholic Church. It's as if Voris is running his own rogue cult and spin-off faction and Mornac is helping him at the very least by promoting Voris and his messages. And the whole time we have seen words and descriptions with "truth" or one real truth in them.  This shit needs to stop. It needs to stop on this forum and otherwise. It's bad enough when the pope spews bullshit but at least when he does he speaks for the Church. Now we have an unapproved spokes-jerkwad making videos and a Moron like Mornac promoting him.

Wasn't afraid to follow it. I saw right where it went back to. I just found it interesting that someone who complains about blind links all the time didn't rise up this time. And no need to listen to Voris. Since his own Church announced that he speaks without their approval and has no authority he, and you are just yammering. He and you are certainly entitled to your opinions, but need to be pointed out as not speaking for the Catholic Church in any authority. I think that needs to be pointed out consistently from here on out. Your own Church's governing body wants him banned at least from speaking out. That is very interesting.

Of course if you like the Vortex videos then by all means, ignore the above challenge.

Quite frankly it never has been even though Voris tries to cloak himself as the voice of the church....hence the Real Catholic.  Watch what happens in just a moment when i trash Mornac's implicit claim below.

Let's see.....Bishop Fabian Wendelin Bruskewitz.  He is Bishop of a little place called Lincoln, Nebraska.  Why is this important?  Because within his diocese a bishop has the authority to authorize certain groups to teach, and speak for the church, if he chooses.  However, this authority is limited to his diocese.  He can not authorize an organization to speak for the church as a whole nor can he authorize a group to speak for the church in any general way.  Unfortunately, for Mornac, Voris is based in a little place called Ferndale, Michigan.  Ferndale, Michigan is roughly 800 miles from Lincoln, Nebraska.  Furthermore it is located in the Archdiocese of Detroit.  Either Mornac thinks that Bishop Bruskewitz is secretly Archbishop Allen Vigneron or that Bishop Bruskewitz has a super duper diocese that extends and covers Ferndale Michigan OR Mornac is attempting to be deceptive here.  i wonder which one it is?

Actually, JC-3, I rarely make arrests   I just don't read them.  I have close to zero interest in any topic associated with religion and for that reason don't read a lot of Mornac's stuff.  We have very nearly the same moral beliefs, the only difference being that I don't need Jesus, the promise of a reward or the threat of punishment to get where Mornac or any other "spiritual" person has gotten.
