Voris points out that traditional Catholics are being called nut cases, which might be unfair.  Were they not so set in their ways and were they open  minded to change then things would go a lot smoother.

Is the aim of a traditionalist to convert these modernists to the traditional pov?  If so then sugar draws a lot more flies than salt.  We have seen
in politics that obstructionism doesn't do anything but alienate people that might someday be an ally.

What a bunch of bigots.

--Wrong. Voris points out that faithful Catholics are being called nut cases.

--The only things that would go a lot smoother would be the apostatizing if faithful Catholics, which is the central goal of modernist dissenters.

To you way of thinking only the trads are faithful, so what is the difference?
If these moderns become apostate, then what is their alternate beliefs? Sadly non-belief is very common in the British Isles and I don't know why.\
Once again, you seem to associate trad thinking with the only legitimate Catholic thinking. Look at the numbers Mornac, you folks have your hands full.

As to deception drawing more souls, if it does the trick then don't knock it. I think you are confusing the mechanics of salvation with the objective or true meaning of it.  IMO it is very simple, and basically is as follows.  One hears the Word, confesses his sins, and accepts Christ as his Savior. After that the Lord takes care of the rest. It does seem that atonement and remaining faithful to the vow enters into it somewhere.

So I cannot see where the Latin mumbo jumbo, the robes, and the smoke and mirrors have a hell of a lot to do with being saved.  Baptists take you out and dunk you in a pond and scare the hell right out of you.  It works just fine without all the pomp and frills.

Relativism could alienate some 500,000 potential believers of the "truth" and still have plent of converts. I think that you and your crowd are playing a numbers game that you don't understand and that you cannot win at. Get with the program and the spirit of Christ Mornac.  If a Protestant or a modern Catholic can convert people to Christ then relax and be happy it is happenin. In the end the destination for all converts is the same (Heaven), is it not?
