I hope we can start the drawdown this summer.  Some have thought we could. I think we need to shit or get off the pot, and I prefer the latter.
The Afghans have milked us long enough.

I actually thought we would withdraw shortly after Mr. Obama took office.

Hope and change was only smoke and mirrors.

Instead of withdrawing, we started surging.

How long will our leaders keep leaving Afghanistan for the next president. Huh?

No doubt Obama felt that way himself.  As he also thought he would discontinue the NSA intercept program.  As he also thought he'd close Guantanamo.  Then reality set in along with the realization that the consequences of those actions could not be blamed on Bush, Halliburton or Dick Cheney.

Whatever problems you had with the Bush administration, I hope you see now that they were legitimate differences of opinion about National Security matters.

With this guy it's 100 percent a political calculation.  We'll get out when it's in Barack Obama's political interests, not sooner or later than that...

The most successful men I know will tell you that they are only successful because they are able to accept ‘no’ and not take it personally. Again, unsuccessful men take a ‘rejection’ as a personal assault on their inner child. Don’t make this mistake.

The only problem I had with the Bush administration was going to Afghanistan.

That was the dumbest thing any American president has ever done.
I think he realized what he had done and diverted to Iraq to win a victory that Obama has yet to win.

I have no links but I do not believe going to Afghanistan has ever been good for any nations "national security."

I'm talking about since the beginning of time.

Of course, it all depends on the definition of the term "Out of."

A. Yes, but only if yes means the same as no.

Q. Mornac, why do you think 98% of Catholics are acting contrary to Catholic teaching?
A. Crickets

Q. What about you, Mornac? Have you ever acted contrary to Catholic teaching and used contraception?
A. While I was a Catholic, the answer is no.

People were seeking to avenge the deaths at the WTC on 911 and were out for blood.

Vengeance.  i suppose that is a good substitute for thinking when it comes to catching terrorists.

well then you weren't paying a bit of attention.  obama campaigned  on beefing up our presence in afghanistan.  i didn't agree with it but he repeated it over and over again so i don't know where you were.

Come to think of it, you are right, Dagon.  I'll admit I misspoke.

Obama's Afghanistan policy seems to mirror that of Mr. Bush.

As I've said repeatedly, Obama is a carbon copy of Bush.

They both are taking their lead from Mr. Custer.

Exactly what is our mission in Afghanistan.  No Afghan that I know of trained any terrorists to fly planes.  They they were trained right here in America.
Probably with grants from our government.

Hardly so.  In the heat of passion a country can make costly mistakes.
