Well, we knew it was bound to happen.  The douchebag in the Vortex videos Mornac posts has come out against representative government.  Oddly he claims that it is terrible the ignorant get to vote but he nowhere avows that he will refrain from voting.  Only the virtuous, he says, should be allowed to vote.  The only way to keep a democracy healthy is to limit the vote to faithful people.  Overdose of irony?

"The only way to run a country is by benevolent dictatorship."

That is a direct quote, about 3 minutes into the video.  The link is to the video.

No, no, no ... that's not what he meant, this is what he really meant:

Angry Atheists Small | Large

Anyone who disagrees with him is a 'self-hating, evil atheist, dying in sin' ... it just needed to be explained to the unvirtuous 'sad-sack-boo-birds' why a Catholic Monarchy is 'the ticket'.

Q. Mornac, do you have any demonstrative proof that your god exists?
A. Yes, but only if yes means the same as no.

Q. Mornac, why do you think 98% of Catholics are acting contrary to Catholic teaching?
A. Crickets

Q. What about you, Mornac? Have you ever acted contrary to Catholic teaching and used contraception?
A. While I was a Catholic, the answer is no.

i think the point is the same.  This guy hates the idea of representative government unless it represents the views of a narrow strip of humanity.  Quite disgusting.

Can we agree to post links to these videos rather than the vids themselves?

Of course the point is the same ... just as Mornac's points remain the same; just more illogical, self-referencing claptrap to explain the original illogical, self-referencing claptrap.

Nope, sorry ... I can't think of a better way of exposing this crap than posting it and have it reveal itself in the cold light of day.

notoc,

i think it is important to make sure that we hold them to their main point.  i am not concerned with their ideological defense or background of their position, but think we should focus on their embrace of dictatorship.  It is appalling and disgusting.

I think all organised religions are to some extent or another appalling and disgusting ... the particular cult to which Mornac and his crowd adhere are just more vociferous in their calls for world domination.

My interest is in their, and by extension Mornac's, apparent inability to join the dots without having to revert to dogmatic, superstitions, self-righteous, illogical hogwash.

It only really begins to wash with those who have had their churches' poisons dripped in their ear from an early age.

I have no problem with anyone's right to believe in anything they wish ... but as soon as they vocalise those beliefs, especially when that vocalisation becomes even slightly evangelical and/or prothletising, I believe my right to question their sales patter trumps their obvious preference that I didn't.

This is beyond religious principles.  This is about thepolitical organization of society.  i have no problems with people who are religious and work within and promote the aims of representative government.  But these people with their authoritarianism are just appalling.

When has religion not been political?

Give any Church enough headway and it will eventually become an authoritarian theocratic government.

i disagree.  There are serious leftists in Catholicism, for instance, committed to fighting authoritarianism.

The point, for me, is fighting authoritarianism, secular or not, where it raises its head.

John, be advised that I reported your last post to the forum's Admin.

I don't really expect anything to come of it, but I wanted it on record that I found your post offensive and insulting. In fact, I find your existence offensive and insulting, but the Admin can't do much about that, so in the context of the forum, I guess it doesn't really matter.

You really should stick to trolling for young Asian boys.

Has Mornac ever voted for Le Pen or his Front National party?

Is Le Pen not far enough to the right for you?
