I really want to know what you conservatives would do to fix things in the country.
How would you balance the budget - which programs to cut.   Without adding to the unemployment roles, because federal programs keep people working.
How would you have stopped the jobs hemmoraging at 800,000 / month when Bush was still in office?
Without spending any bailout money?
How would you handle the Gulf oil spill differently?
Would you let the Big 3 automakers go under and throw another million people in related areas into the unemployment lines?
All I get outta you folks is how Obama is the worst president ever.  How would you be different?  Remember, everything you see today is courtesty of George W. Bush.  You still have his tax rates, his wars, his economy, his deficits (Obama put the war costs back into the budget numbers).
If you hate our situation now, it's because you hate George Bush's presidency.  Direct your anger at the guy who spilled the bucket, not the guy with the mop.

Flyboy,

Come on.  What would they do?  You know better than that.  Their philosophy, their only philosophy since 2007, has been and still is "let the mother fucker burn".

There answer is simple. Repeat the same lies over and over again until the people start believing them. And right now the damn near have enough people suckered to gain seats when what should be happening is that the rest of the republicans shold be voted out.

It's a damn shame that a 30 percent of the peoepl really thiink Obama is a secret muslim operative, or that 20 percent don't even believe he is american, or that anyone forgot that the TARP bailouts were done by Bush. Repetition of  lies every day by republicans, using the media as weapons to promote the disinformation to the general public who stay busy watching dancing with the stars instead of paying attention to whats really going on, and now we may face a return to the crappy policies that created the damage.

Hitler was able to gain power in Germany because people did not have jobs. We need to think about that.

we don't hear them screaming drill baby drill any more after the Gulf spill.
and the can't cry for more deregulation after that spill and the banking
scandals and the housing collapse.
And they already have the Bush tax cuts.
and their claim to morality rings false with all their perverts
visiting bordellos or meeting mistresses in Argentina.
So WTF?
What is it they want now?
Cmon you repubs step up to the plate and show us what your made of.
What would you do differently from Obama.  Nothin I guess.

I would have ordered every American soldier to leave the middle east immediately.

Well, they are dedicated to protecting us from the Muslims, after all.   Roll Eyes

In fact, the economy almost seems to have taken a back seat to the Islamic threat.  They're now so insane with Islamic hatred, that they can't really think about much else.  They now have to take the country back, for Jesus!   Shocked

Perhaps Christine, the good witch, can protect us.   Grin

I doubt if this is the tune you were singing during the Bush years. So don't sing it now.

I could easily tell you what tune I sang during the Bush years but it would be better if you search for it yourself.

Better yet, take a good look at my sig line.  It has not changed all that much since the Bush years.  That should remove all doubt from your mind.

MSP,

Fair enough. Just remember that Bush started this. And like everything else, Obama is forced to clean up the mess left behind.

It's no secret that Bush started the ball rolling.

It is also no secret that Mr. Bush said it would be up to the next president to clean up the mess.

Now the chickens are coming home to roost, and Obama is sitting in the henhouse.  He is sitting in "deep do-do".

What a load of crap Makesenseplease. Watching Faux has obviously rotted some of the few brain cells you had.

Obama's approval ratings are as good as any president's approval 2 years in. Since the Civil War only two incumbent parties have not lost a lot of seats in Congress in the first midterms and Bush managed to not lose seats because he was beginning a war. Given the huge victories Democrats achieved in the last two elections loss of seats was inevitable. You just don't get turn out in midterms.

Arguably the best thing that could happen to Obama is a Speaker of the House Boner, for a lot of reasons.

In any event any time Democrats choose to turn out, Republicans lose. Why? Because the motivated crazies are the permanent 20% on the radical right. They're only 20%. You need more than that to win elections.

Here's a little prediction I made at the start of the "surge" into Afghanistan.

Very few conservatives share this view.

MSP,

You stay stuck on this surge. You seem to miss the prior 5-6 years that the soldiers were fighting without the resources needed to get Bin Laden because Bush decided to invade iraq when he had Bin Laden cornered and praying to allah for mercy. The next president would not be cleaning up this mess if Bush had done his job right. Until you can say that, perhaps you shold stop trying to put all the blame on "Obamas surge."

Maybe you should not be making any comments about what obamas doing since your side is the one that fucked things up to begin with. For example, I don't know any sport where a coach who has a losing record gets to make comments about coaching strategy. Yet we have conservatives everywhere talking crazy and think that people actually have to listen and respect their views.
