The 2010 Powwow, held last month was dedicated to Veterans, both Indian and non-Indian. After the Grand Entry and the presentation of the Colors, the announcer called for ALL Veterans who were present, whether they were Native, non-Native, locals, visitors to the Powwow, tourists... to enter the ceremonial circle to be honored by the dancers.

It was quite a moment. It was a statement of racial harmony and patriotism that would have left someone like IM or JC dumbfounded.

Then you are just a fucking moron because that is clearly a photo of persons of color wearing their own tribal clothing, and presenting themselves as they wish to be presented not a photoshop of someone wearing tribal clothing, nor a cartoon of persons wearing tribal clothing, etc.  Perhaps you do not know what the term depictions means.

Why would I be left dumbfounded at any event that makes a statement about racial harmony?

At first I had said more, but I want to see the answer. I can almost predict what will be said.

My grandmother was 1/2 Cherokee dumb ass. My father was one half Creole. And I don't care who they expelled. I don't give a flying fuck about any Dawes roll either. What would be the reason for the expelling Observer. Money perhaps? I have never sought out any Indian money or land, nor will I.
