I am still waiting for you to provide the quote in which Gingrich proposed "making a law" to restrict the Free Exercise of ANYone's religion.

Get on that, would you, John Boy?

Here is quote that has your panties in a wad.

Quote
"There should be no mosque near Ground Zero in New York so long as there are no churches or synagogues in Saudi Arabia."

Now, you claim to possess some mastery of the English language, even though you have never displayed it here. analyze that sentence and show me where in it, Gingrich proposes "making a law" to prohibit the free exercise of anyone's religion.

That should be easy for a genius like you.   Grin

Either way, the First Amendment is not relevant to the issue, at all.

The first amendement is a law that cannot be broken regardless of where its at. If the city of NY decided to not give them a permit only because they are Musklim, then it violates the first amendent rights for them to have that mosque where they want to put it. If that is the only reason why it was turned down, then it becomes a federal issue. Now if the mosque was turned down because the city codes/zoning did not allow such structures to be built in that location, then it does not violate that freedom. So then you need to understand how the law works first before you expound upon it dumb ass.

This is the general problem with you 10ther nuts. You try making simple application to laws that really are not that simple. Perhaps its because you are intellectually limited, but the reality is that just because something comes before a city, it does not make it simply a local issue. That's why cities hire attorneys.

I know you did not say this, but let me point out to you the stupidity of this statement and the utter ignorance of Newt Gingrich.

Saudi Arabia’s constitution does not say they allow the freedom to practice all religions and that there is no national religion. They are a Muslim country by declaration. America has stated that we do not have any national religion, and that all religions are welcome to worship in this nation.

That’s the difference between us and Saudi Arabia that Newt doesn’t seem to understand and it’s why the question is asked; why does Newt hate the constitution?
