One week later. 11 cases; 2 pending. Less than 50% people I see wearing masks, which are now mandatory in most of the rest of the state. But not here...because FREEDUMB.  ::)

Statewide we are seeing 3000+ new cases per day. 10.3% PCR % positive.

Two weeks later. 26 covid patients. 4 pending. That is an increase of 1200% in 2 weeks.
We have 1 ICU bed available. Hope no one in this mostly retirement town has a heart attack or stroke or gets in a bad auto accident.
Still only about 50% people wearing masks in stores, etc. Even fewer wearing masks outside packed around the town square on weekends.

And, yes...this is partially Trump's fault. We were holding steady until he visited Phoenix and convinced the governor to open everything up before we had declining cases.
Our phased in plan was ignored. Everything just opened pretty much as normal by Memorial Day.
And his stupid supporters refuse to wear masks.

EDIT: Two more positive as I was writing this.  :(

You are where we were about 3 months ago.   Now everyone here is wearing masks and social distancing.  We have only had 3 new cases this entire month (town of 40K).

Good luck with it  :-\

Yes we are. The sad thing is we had time to prevent this. This is due to poor, inadequate leadership. And stupid people.

Governor just shut down bars, pools, and gyms for 30 days. No school until at least August 17.
But everything else is still open. And no statewide mask mandate, so still no masks where I live.
Ugh.

Trump will run on his accomplishments.
He may accomplish 135K deaths by the end of next month. How many do you think he will have accomplished by the end of October?
