Trump is close to presiding over 50 fully socialised states. Even the so-called Libertarians will soon start screaming for essential services to be taken into public ownership. States are going to come to the unavoidable conclusion that bailing-out private companies tasked with providing essential public services is a waste of (increasingly nonexistent) public money compared to just buying them outright for pennies on the dollar.

Red states, like the shit hole Caroline exists in, will never realize anything. We have three of them bordering Illinois (Indiana, Kentucky, and Missouri). Outside of the Chicago area we have Illinoisans who are every bit as inbred and stupid as Caroline clamoring to get away from Chicago because we are successful and the rest of the state depends on us.

Notoc, no one ever broke under-estimating the intelligence of the American people. H.L. Mencken.

No such thing as capitalism without capital. Interest rates are now effectively below zero...currency has gone to the value of its paper...even if this crisis magically disappeared overnight it would take months to restart the economy amid massive unemployment, trillions in unfinanced private debt, mortgage defaults, private rent arrears leading to eviction, business rent arrears leading to foreclosure, unseen levels of bankruptcy, depression era food lines.

States that don't socialise will die. Literally.

You're describing Keynes' liquidity trap, a condition that radical capitalists claim cannot possibly exist. Yet the condition has existed many times.

It's pretty bad. Yes, it is.

The temporary 'fix' is to effectively make the zero interest rate available to every individual member of society regardless of his or her ability to repay the loan...with society itself underwriting the total amount borrowed. The illusion of capital where no capital actually exists.

...but they'll fuck it up and continue to promote the fallacy of 'trickle-down' and apply it to the credit market.
