By Paul Craig Roberts

According to news reports, the U.S. military is shipping "bunker-buster" bombs to the U.S. Air Force base at Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean. The Herald Scotland reports that experts say the bombs are being assembled for an attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities. The newspaper quotes Dan Plesch, director of the Centre for International Studies and Diplomacy at the University of London: "They are gearing up totally for the destruction of Iran." [Final destination Iran?, March 14, 2010]

The next step will be a staged "terrorist attack," a "false flag" operation as per Operation Northwoods, for which Iran will be blamed. As Iran and its leadership have already been demonized, the "false flag" attack will suffice to obtain U.S. and European public support for bombing Iran. The bombing will include more than the nuclear facilities and will continue until the Iranians agree to regime change and the installation of a puppet government. The corrupt American media will present the new puppet as "freedom and democracy."

If the past is a guide, Americans will fall for the deception. In the February issue of "American Behavioral Scientist," a scholarly journal, Professor Lance DeHaven-Smith writes that state crimes against democracy (SCAD) ..................................

Mr Roberts has laid it out, BUT most will still be fooled. The sick thing though is the excuses some will make to go along because BHO is in charge

This is a pretty sad state of affairs.  As to BHO, I don't see that being his nature but the powers behind the scene, and I think there is little question as to who that might be, will probably goad him into doing such a stupid thing.

By the way, the bigots are at it again this morning.  See this from msnbc.com

Quartet urges Israeli settlement freeze
Mideast peacemakers ‘condemn’ East Jerusalem building plan
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and other members of the Quartet meet in Moscow on Friday.

MOSCOW - The so-called Quartet of Middle East mediators called on Israel to freeze all settlement activities and denounced Israel's aim to build new housing in East Jerusalem Friday.

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon read a joint statement by the members — Russia, the United States, the U.N. and the European Union — following a meeting of the group in Moscow.

"The Quartet urges the government of Israel to freeze all settlement activities ... and to refrain from demolitions and evictions," said the statement read by Ban.

It "condemns the decision by the government of Israel to advance planning for new housing units in East Jerusalem."

Those plans this month caused prospects for indirect Israeli-Palestinian talks to collapse and prompted Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who is in Moscow for the talks, to strongly criticize Israel.

Friday's formal Quartet meeting involved Clinton, her Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov, Ban, E.U. foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton and Quartet Representative Tony Blair, who also shared a closed dinner Thursday evening.

Israel unveiled the plans for 1,600 new Jewish housing units in East Jerusalem, which Palestinians view as the capital of their future state, during a visit by Vice President Joe Biden last week.

The Palestinians say they will not go ahead with indirect peace talks unless the housing scheme is scrapped.

The Quartet said that all parties should promote those talks as part of moves toward establishing a Palestinian state in Gaza and the Israeli-occupied West Bank within 24 months.

But the mediators did not say how they could ensure their calls, which have gone unheeded in the past, would

Do you have any ideas on what a false flag move might be?  Hold on to your jocks folks, they are comin' to get you.  How about a raid on GITMO? It has served its purpose.

I read this morning where the Gazans are still poppin' rockets into Israel. Let's see now, with a little spin on it  we could blame that on Iran and Hezbollah.  Or try this.  Israel delays the 1,600 unit housing development long enough for us to pop Iran up side the head.  I am not sure what America would gain from that but we have been a martyr to the cause since '48 so why the hell not?  What is a few thousand more body bags anyway?  They are made of cheap imported cotton, not even bleached.  Real first class way to go out for the fodder land and the chosen few.

Or if that is not sporty enough a departed hero can be shipped home in a meat pan.  I was on Guam during Nam and the bodies came thru there stacked on pallets and were moved around with forklifts.  It was a sealed metal box like the commissary at the bases used to ship meat from the processing plant to the mess halls, only bigger of course.  Real first class transportation, moved by air freighters.  Something tells me there wasn't much left of those poor devils in those boxes.

Try this one that I found out from taking a body home from Dover AFB, Delaware to a family in the
Wichita area.  The guy was killed in  Germany in a car accident, and to save weight, was put in a body bag and air freigted home on a litter. He was a big dude, and they had put him in an oversized casket at Dover so the people at Wichita had to go out and dig the hole bigger before the burial.  I escorted the guy and had the dubious honor of giving his flag to the family.  Great fun.  He would have been part of the Cold War effort, being stationed in Germany, sometime in the mid sixties.

Actually he was buried in a Catholic cemetery and the service was in a Catholic church, which was right by the cemetery.  This was located in the country NW of Wichita. First time I had ever attended a service of any kind at a Catholic church.

Abilene and the other small towns along the Smoky Hill River valley are heavily Catholic. Real nice folks.
I work for one and he is a riot at 84 years old.  I asked him one day how it was to supervise a bunch of old farts who drive cars with him for a dealership. He said it was like trying to heard cats.   Grin

This is alarming.
