There is a reason that you cannot deal with the right.  They have all gone apeshit.

Isn't It Time To Euthanize Reid's Wife?

Update: Comments closed. I don't have time to mind the idiots and Lefty trolls who need to spew filth of no consequnce. yawn.

I'm not sure I quite understand this, given that cost is so important as a burden to taxpayers when it comes to health care. If Democrats want so badly to abort babies because of it, why are we bothering with someone who has a broken neck and back at 69? It sounds to me like she's pretty well used up and has probably been living off the taxpayers for plenty of years to begin with. Aren't we at least going to get a vote on it?

The ravings of an asshole

And let's not forget, this jerk is one of the guys CNN goes to as they pander to the right.

I would truly like to say that "conservatives" aren't insane, but I've seen too little evidence to draw that conclusion.

i used to believe there were decent conservatives out there but i do not see how anyone could call themselves a conservative and throw themselves in the same tent as these people.

No one who is truly a conservative would be calling for the death of Mrs. Reid...very sad accident. On the other hand, those who would like to make conservatives look bad could just as well be the instigators of these remarks.....

luce, the fact that you even have to look so deeply into your kind heart to find a rationale for the behavior of so-called "conservatives" these days should be indictment enough.  let's be honest folks:  the "conservatives" of today are against EVERYTHING!

there is no compassion, no forward thinking, no plans.  NOTHING but reactionary nonsense, misinformation, fear and hate.  i can't believe that there are still so many adherents to this "movement".  they should be shamed out of existence by any rational thinking person.

Dagon. I just find it difficult to simply divide people with some sort of set ideological framework...we are not all that divided ultimately in spirit, compassion, needs, etc. I question the blind and mindless quest to divide us in the first place....

In spirit of UNITY  and the value of the INDIVIDUAL in our humanity and for our sense of right vs wrong ultimately when it comes down to how we treat others and such...

ps Not all conservatives are "good" people with "good" intentions anymore than all "liberals" are "good" people with "good" intentions toward many....and then some are in bed with each other/

people divide themselves lucy.  i will say that the republican party is singularly good at culling people who share ONE, no TWO singular traits; ignorance and fear.  to that end,  i think we can lump people into a few distinct categories.  it's sad to admit but i think that's the truth of it.

If you are talking party politics, then I would say both mainstream parties share your sentiments and your assessments, really....

I am not a Republican, nor am I a Democrat..

Is this man a "seer" then?

I wonder, and I honestly hope he is wrong, but worthy to consider...

"Celente - The Political Atheist's Gospel
By Gerald Celente
3-17-10

KINGSTON, NY, 17 March 2010 ' Yesterday on Fox Business's  'Happy Hour, Gerald Celente explained ' in six simple words ' the powers responsible for the destruction of America's capitalist system'

Who is behind transforming the world's greatest entrepreneurial empire into a doomed merger of Big Government with Big Business'

Who is responsible for:
* Bailouts that bail out only the biggest, greediest, most incompetent, and most unscrupulous
*  Stimulus packages that mainly stimulate government workers and special interests
* Tax relief for mega-billionaires
* Draining an already depleted treasury to wage endless, exorbitantly expensive wars in foreign countries
* Health reform that will cost trillions and, as with virtually every other government initiated enterprise, is doomed to fail.

The list goes on.  Given the all-encompassing scope of the destruction, some conspiracy theorists contend it is a sinister plot to deliberately bring the American system down.
'We are not conspiracy theorists' said Celente. '

The dissolution of America is being accomplished in broad daylight, with full disclosure, for all to see.  But, the fact is that the powers, principles and practices in place could not be doing a better job to destroy the nation if it were deliberate.'

What are those forces hastening the fall?

In less than six minutes, Trends Research Institute Director and publisher of the Trends Journal®, Gerald Celente, boiled the 60 complex years that have pushed America to an economic precipice and military quagmire into six simple words. Here they are"

That guy was a crude and his article was a cheap shot.  As to CNN pandering to the right, when did that start hapening.  I quit watching them years ago bego of the two whiners, Judy Woodruff and Wolf Blitzer. Gulf I was pathetic.

If plugs are to be pulled then that is the place to start, with the opportunistic pihranas in the media.

Lucy,

This conservative apparently has no such qualms.  Neither do the right wing movements in this country.  Recognizing where and with whom one stands, and the practical result of political activity, doesn't diminish your humanity, it is simply the recognition of where and with whom one stands.  It is the practical results of politics and the tactics engaged to seek those ends that can diminish humanity.

We have seen from the signs of the tea baggers to this rant by a go to rightist, not to mention the attacks upon an 11 year old by Limbaugh and Beck, that the right wing could not care less for the humanity of their targets.

One last thing, and just so we are perfectly clear: drawing attention, outrage over, and discussion of the horrible behavior of the right is NOT morally equivalent to their attacks, smears and lies.  Not close, not by a long shot.
