There is nothing wrong with you admiring Ashe. I am just showing you an example of a man who like many other blacks, do great things in small towns, do not get national publicity and that you would never even think of putting on any of your lists.

Yet I am wiling to bet  you are able to recite me a lot of small town white folks who you would consider heroes. This is the problem with our nation. Minority men and women like Mr. Hanks  get ignored by the media, and only blacks who support the stereotypes media ownership believe gets  publicity.

Mr. Hanks was a man who changed lives in my hometown, a man who provided the planning so that old worn down and raggedy hosues got rebuilt and a community was physically improved. He got streets paved that formerly were dirt. He got stop lights put in places where stoplights never were and where people got ran down only because the intersection was located in the black part of town.

By doing all these things he increased the property value and self esteeem of those living in this community. And not one of the houses that got rebuilt have been torn down, no rioting, and homes have been passsed to suceeding generations, because Mr. Hanks created homeowners instead of renters, and by doing that he changed the dynamics of a community forever.

How many more blacks have done such things in the history of this country Lucy? I bet you don't have a clue.

She probably does not have a clue.  Just as she had no clue about the deeds of Mr. Hanks until you told her.

We can't expect whites to know of the accomplishments of blacks like Mr. Hanks unless we tell them.

The Black press has the right to tell these stories instead of constantly harping on the past.

There is nothing in stopping these white folks from finding the links themselves and reading up. Many of them are more than capable of finding all manner of news about blacks when it shows us comitting crimes. If I did provide them a link they would not consider the article accurate, because I have done so at NOPC before. Again, stop making excuses.

Don't need to. Google can work for them just like it works for me. They can do the research themselves and find out on their own. There is no excuse for a group of people who can dig deep to link, search, and find all manner of racist crap about us, and suddenly when one mentions how they should  look for positive stories about blacks that somehow these guys suddenly become completely computer illiterate and need my help to find such news for them. You make every excuse for these guys and it is why I say that black conservatives have got to be the dumbest people alive.
