Financially speaking it seems to be a power struggle to gain control of the economy.  I wonder if this is just part of the neocon objectives?  Socially speaking, the trend is to be anti-government and anti-social or anti-moral, and it leaves me to wonder what the miscreants want or if they think about the consequences of a broken system of law and order.

Are these people young, strong fools that think they can bully their way through life and just take what they want without asking or working for it?  Like slum rats they seek to beat the system and to prove to the rest of us htat they don't have to behave in a civil manner.  Are the many public officials like Rangel role models for honest dealings?  I don't think so.  How's it go "Monkey see, monkey do".

I think that liberal thinking is wrong headed and short sighted. The "me generation" wants it now and won't stand for anything less.  Can't they see the downside of playing fast and loose with our national treasure?   There was a time a few years ago when I ginned up a plan to erase the national debt in 20 years or less, assuming we did not have a downturn like we have seen recently, but now I fear that any plan to pay off the debt would be  fruitless as the thing has spun out of control.
