There's nothing stopping you from making it tiny, or simply use the URL tags the right way.

I'm not a fan of use of tinyurl personally, its a security problem in the sense when someone clicks on the link they don't know where they're going to end up (could be malware, porn, etc, etc).   I'm an IT security guy in my day job so these things concern me
