BEWARE OF FOREIGN ENTANGLEMENTS

They have not earned whatever benefits that befall them next week. Rather they are the beneficiaries of certain forces here like slow recovery from the mess they made, and the very nature of midterm elections.

The smartest thing they could do if they take the House is to make deals with Obama and get things done. When Gingrich did that with Clinton both approval ratings for Republicans and for Clinton went up.

But will "conservatives" be smart enough to understand what that was about? Of course not. They will obstruct and shut down government and try to re-brand the same crap that gave us more war and less taxes for rich people, and divested the middle class and enriched the top 1% (with special kudos to the top .1%). They will lie and deny.

This is what they do and leopards do not easily change their spots.

Perhaps Mr. Obama should learn to use those spots to America's advantage instead of trying to change them.

The onus is on Obama and people like you to make sure America's goals are met.

I could be wrong and am willing to stand corrected.  The Republicans couldn't correct me so perhaps the democrats can.

My President has less time than that to make several things happen if he wants my support for re-election. Right now as it sits I want another Dem to run in the primary. He ran as a 'fierce advocate" (his words not mine) to repeal DADT. It still is not a reality. I woke up this morning and see that "rolling back" the Bush Tax Cuts may not happen. Still no relief for the 99ers. No problem helping out wall st, the banks, the auto companies. I like him. I voted for him. But I won't vote for him again unless he starts delivering. More. More for main st and less for wall st.

Looks like more voting to keep things from getting worse.

If he keeps trying to appease republicans I cannot vote for him again. My reference to the 1.5 years is that republicans now have 1.5 years to make certain that things are forever healed. Since they claim that what they proopse is the answer, then by 2012, this nation should be operating with a surplus that will never end. Unemployment should be at 4 percent or less, we should owe no one, there should be no more dependence upon foreign oil, we should have captured Bin Laden and ended terrorism forever, and we should be creating 4-5 million jobs each month with all the money that will trickle down form the richie rich folks tax cuts.
