has anyone been charged for illegally making money while
in office of the potus?

It is a pretty straightforward question with two possible answers: Right...or...wrong.

You said you know the difference between right and wrong. Now you can't tell right from wrong unless legal charges are filed?

The question was: Is it right or wrong for a President and/or his family to benefit financially from the Office of the President of the United States?

Why don't you ask Barrack and Michelle Obama about that?? Or even Bill and Hillary Clinton for that matter.

Because none of them are currently President of the United States.

In feudalism it is your count that votes.

But, they were when they were profiting from being in office.

How about post hoc ergo propter hoc?

it really is not a yes or no question.
simply becoming the president raises
the value of whatever they do or say.
I do not know the exact ethics law pertaining
to monies made directly or indirectly
by the potus or their relatives.
take barry's book he wrote. after he became
potus, his book sales and profits increased.
in general I would say it would not be a good
practice. whatever is legal is fine.

Right. So that makes it ok for the current President. Got it.

So IF the CURRENT President were illegally using the Office of the President of the Untied States to his and his family's financial benefit, would that be right or wrong?

By the way, is adultery right or wrong?

Since the foreign profits were given to the U.S. Treasury, how do you see this as illegal?

Adultery is wrong. But, how wrong is accepting hush money and then giving it back so you can "spill the beans" just to besmirch the President's reputation? Let's not mention that this is just an allegation and there is no actual proof that this affair took place other than her say-so.  Let's not mention that this hush money was given to Daniels by a lawyer, not Trump himself.
