10 famous scientific theories that were later debunked.
Sometimes science gets it wrong.
--Now, now - let's remember that they are only human, hence, eternally flawed by the sin of Adam.

Yes, science gets things wrong.  There is even fraud in science sometimes.  The difference is that science is a self-correcting process, and religion can never admit that it has gotten anything wrong.

When I hear scientific news that suggests that some of our most fundamental scientific ideas may be wrong, I don't get scared and try to deny it.  I get really excited, because it means we may be close to making a big jump in our understanding of the universe.  Of course, the contradictory information must be independently confirmed, to make sure it's not the result of some sort of error.

You're absolutely right there space.   The bible has not changed in over 2000 years and it is as relevant today as it was in the days of oral tradition and then written word.   Science on the other hand is dancing as fast as it can to make corrections on a daily basis when they are shown to be wrong....or caught.

There's no reason for fairytales to change.

But to the topic of the thread, can you think of any scientific theories that have been proven wrong by religion?  The examples listed were disproved by science.
