Actually, I was paying Obama the ultimate compliment.

For some strange reason you are always thinking like a lawyer.
And for some reason the idiot is always on  the defensive.  That is the traditional defense of a proverbial victim.

The best that can be said for our Usurper in Chief is that he likely is not much worse than McCoward would have been.

Could be.  The recession and the wars are some really tough issues to deal with.

No, it wouldn't be any different at all. The same criminals pulling Obama's strings would have been the same criminals that would have pulled McCain's.

They have been calling the shots in Washington since Woodrow Wilson's time. I would tell you who "they" are, but you still won't believe me. All they have in mind is filling their pockets, at our expense. They have no interest in "We The People" at all.

The ONLY way to get this country out of their hands is to get rid of them all and start from scratch.

Do you think American's are ready for that kind of revolution? Because THAT is what it is going to take.

The recession and wars are deliberately created disasters to destroy middle America

I am not buying what you say.  A lot of so called middle Americans bought cars and houses they could not afford to pay for. As to the wars, we do it over there rather than over here.  Does the attempted bombing of the Delta bird on Christmas day send you any hint that we cannot simply sit and wait for those mongrels to come over here and do us in?

I am not really pleased with the justification that Bush gave for invading Iraq but maybe I should lay it to his inability as a communicator.  However, I do support the fact that our guys led SH to a necktie party.
If it is any consolation to you, SH lobbed SCUDS at the terrified Israelis during Gulf I.

Perhaps the speculative financial instruments the big wall street houses were messing with did contribute to the recession, and I hope this government has sense enough to clamp down on that sort of risky stuff.
Off hand I think the biggest factor that caused the recession was when the banks tightened up on lending as the business community lives on borrowed funds.  No funds, no work, and layoffs. Pretty basic.

    * An ideologically divided country to the point that America was really two countries
Well, thank God we've all ironed out our differences now and it's all smooth sailing, huh?
Quote
    * Two wars; one that was mishandled from the start, the other that was unnecessary and immoral
How's Afghanistan doing?  Libya?  Iran? 20,000 to remain in Iraq.
Quote
    * The worst economic crisis since the depression
Still happening.
Quote
    * America's standing in the world at the lowest point in history
LOL.
Quote
    * A country that had been misled into accepting the use of torture of prisoners of war
Now they just kill them with drones instead of taking prisoners
Quote
    * A health care system in free fall
Yep.  Everything is cost-free now
Quote
    * An educational system in free fall
100% graduation rate now
Quote
    * A global environmental crisis of history-altering proportions (about which the Bush administration and the Republicans had done nothing)
Europe and most of the rest of the world = Tits Up
Quote
    * An impasse between culture warriors from the Right and Left
Fixed!!
Quote
    * A huge financial deficit inherited from the terminally irresponsible Bush administration…
We're finally in the "black."

Better we should have stuck with your plan and fallen into the Great Republican Depression II in earnest.

Who knows?  Why do you want me to "suppose" anything?  Why do you want me to deal with something that isn't reality?

Why do you always need to shift the goal posts to avoid what's actually happening right now?

What do you suppose things would be like right now if there was a *nu-ku-ler* /George Bush bomb that exploded in downtown Chicago?

*Suppose THIS!!*

If Chicago and Detroit were to go down the tubes then our Medicaid and Food Stamp expenses would be cut in half. And Chicago might not spawn another abomination like we have in the WH.  One copy of him makes two too many.

Just think we gotta pay that klutz bennies when he gets out of office.

I've got news for you. Chicago is still a vibrant, healthy engine of our economy even if it has lost some of its diversity.

Ivan you speak without thinking, but that's hardly a surprise.
