ALCS Game 2
« on: October 14, 2013, 12:38:03 AM »
Every year, after my Diamondbacks are out of the post-season, I swear that I'm not going to bother watching any games; most years, I get sucked into at least a few, at some point.  Glad I tuned in to the end of the Boston-Detroit game tonight.  Down 5-1 in the bottom of the 8th, and Big Papi ties it up with a grand salami - Wow!  Then, with a runner on third in the bottom of the 9th - who, but for a throwing error and a wild pitch, would still be on first - Saltalamacchia singles to win it.  Great stuff!

When you tell the story ten years from now, you'll have seen the whole thing.   ;D

Ah.. I had my 6 year old with me and it was getting near 11 and he was falling asleep.. if we stayed til the end we would have been in crowds for a longer time trying to get on the train.     It was a great time, both my sons first major league game and both are inspired to practice baseball.   We were out hitting balls around and playing catch today.

This is the picture which is all over the place today.. the Tiger who dove and missed trying to catch the home run and the cop raising his hands in victory

I assumed he was signalling a field goal.

I assumed he was signalling a field goal.

He was probably just looking for an unarmed spectator to shoot.
