This is an odd statement. If most people don't want a capitalist system then how is it "intertwined" with democracy? If capitalists are using their power as capitalists to impose their will upon the majority of the population, how is that democratic?

Note my title to the thread. I am asserting, vis a vis Hartmann, that you people conflate "raw capitalism" or lassaize faire with democracy. That seems to have gone over your head.

I assure you that my IQ is well over 3 and I don't see how "the two are intertwined and one drives the other."

MY IQ is higher than yours and they only intertwine if captalism is the economic system in a democracy. You don not necesarily have a capitalist economic system because you are a democracy. There are a democratic countries that are using socialism in this world and they have suceeded.

But when a person gets their philosophy from a work of fiction the kind of posts that you present should be expected.
