please say it ain't so.

if it's true, isn't there a limit to how many impotent, demented little cults a person is allowed to join at one time?

do the nearly non existent Christian socialists get jealous over you, one of their very own paying homage to another handful of drooling loons?

how bout the "Diggers", do they feel you're spreading yourself too thin?
Who's workin' your shovel when you off Syndacisizing?

how do you keep the hysterical chants straight? the secret handshakes? the crew cut rubs?

Illo

It is spelled "s-y-n-d-i-c-a-l-i-s-t".  It describes perfectly well the democratic bent of the socialism, inspired by Christianity, in which i believe.  The Diggers have not been around for centuries.

Brain up.

Cults?  Look i know you are bitter and hateful at years of being shamed by me for your ugly political positions, but really you should be able to at least answer a post better than this.

What makes you think they're "nearly non existent?"

I don't know anything about this particular subject but it seems to me that the fundies should be more than a little concerned over their own demographics. Do I have that wrong?

"What makes you think they're "nearly non existent?" -Vel

state their position...on anything

name one of their candidates for public office

what's their address?

where's their website?

johnny likes to hide behind these little fairy tale groups so as not to be forced into disclosing his voting record.  he's ashamed of it.

what's a "fundie"?

Beats the hell out of me. I'm asking you. <shrug>

"Fundie" is short for "fundamentalist" which is one who believes in a literal interpretation of scripture. I.e. that the universe was literally created in 6 days, etc.

well, if the basics of an organizations existence beats the hell out of you, I rest my case. <shrugs smugly>

oh fundamentalist, I ain't one, have never claimed to be one, and have a severe distrust of anyone who quotes scripture (unless by request), so we can laugh at them together.

You have a narrow view of politics.

Who ever said Christian socialism was a group?

Illo, what organization?

To be fair, you don't believe in anything.

I wasn't accusing you of being a fundie. I was simply observing that there are a lot of people out there who are religious and aren't of the Oral Roberts, Jerry Falwell stripe. As John suggests they may not be organized. I have heard some people speaking out so they may very well be organized.

The Bush administration had several fundies in key positions, most notably the Department of Justice. Were you laughing at Monica Goodling? How do you feel about Regent University Law School?

I'm actually not laughing at this.

Just to clarify, Christian socialism, as i have used the term (and this has been explained to Illo time and again), is a theology of the political, not a group.  Unlike Illo, i do not revel in pack mentality.

Loading Justice with people from Regent is terrifying, imo.  Of course, if the retooled wingers get in they may be mining Taft Law School for the geniuses churned out there.  Apparently those mental giants think that withdrawing as counsel means being released from "obligations of confidentiality ..."
