This should give you a clue as to what this country is heading for:

Pretty soon our Bill of Rights and Constitution will be a faint memory.

Hear that thundering sound??

That is the founders of the United States of America rolling in their graves.

Just what are we becoming?? Can anyone say...........U.S.S.(A.)R.

All truth passes through three stages:
First, it is ridiculed.
Second, it is violently opposed.
Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

Terrorism has to be legally defined as a criminal activity, but to describe it as being the use of 'Force or Violence' is more than a little frightening.

Surely 'force' would have to be explicitly defined before anyone would consider voting this in to law?

Q. Mornac, do you have any demonstrative proof that your god exists?
A. Yes, but only if yes means the same as no.

Q. Mornac, why do you think 98% of Catholics are acting contrary to Catholic teaching?
A. Crickets

Q. What about you, Mornac? Have you ever acted contrary to Catholic teaching and used contraception?
A. While I was a Catholic, the answer is no.

I want to know how long this bill is, and what exactly is in it. Unfortunately, lawmakers don't read half of what they sign into law these days...

The other aspect of HR1955 is how this bill would affect Internet freedom, a subject which I think would be close to us considering the time we spend sharing ideas here and there across cyberspace.

The potential for this bill to basically allow the government to determine what types of organizations would be seen as "threatening" is a threat to free speech and debate, imo.

The U.S. never actually believed in "freedom and justice for all".   If they did, there would never have been things like "Reservations".

So now the U.S. must take steps to deplete the potential threat of a radical takeover by the world.
Those who try to implement that threat are called "terrorists".  Roll Eyes

I wonder how long the bill is and what is actually written. It would also be interesting to know who read the bill before voting for it.
